Weekly Rental rate for year 2011 is $1400/week (plus 5% Virginia and 5% Chincoteague tax and a post-visit cleaning/inspection fee of $75.00). There is also a $350. deposit to confirm your reservation; and this fee will then be converted into a security deposit to cover any potential damages during your visit.

FIRST STEP-CONTACT OWNER- After checking with owners to verify your needs, we will email you a contract that includes the exact requested dates and rental fees. This signed contract along with your complete payment must be returned within 7 days to secure your rental slot. Please note that we only do weekly rentals during the peak season of May through August with Friday being the best change-over day. Check-out is by 10 AM and check-in is after 3:00 PM. Sorry, but no "early" checkins are allowed since the rental must be cleaned and checked after each renter. After we receive your paid rental fee, we will email you a passcode for you to obtain the rental keys in the locked key box near the front door. At checkout, you will then deposit the keys in the secure drop box. After the house is cleaned and inspected following your visit, your security deposit fee will be returned promptly returned.
You are responsible for bringing your own sheets and pillow covers for the beds (1 queen,1 full, 2 twins, and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa) for a maximum capacity of 8. Pillows and blankets are provided. You must supply your own wash cloths/towels. A crib and highchair are also in the unit. A full size kitchen includes a washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. Cleaning supplies along with paper towels/ and tiolet paper are supplied with the unit. Light clean up is required prior to your departure.
The use of the dock/pier and house is only for current renters, and its use is at your own risk. The tidal currents can be strong and dangerous; please be very watchful of young children and non-swimmers on the pier. The dock area is partially fenced (see above photo) to provide some additional safety for children. Non-swimmers and children are not allowed on the dock without wearing a life vest and without adult supervision. The dock area is capable of handling up to 30' boats with a draft of 4 feet. Kayakers can launch from the shore area next to the dock. Larger boats can launch from a ramp located 500 yards south of the unit. Fishing is excellent off the pier and also productive from the surf. If fishing from a boat in Chincoteague or Asseatague bays, you will need to obtain a salt-water federal fishing license. Fishing from the pier or in the surf at the beach area does not (yet) require a salt water federal license. One can always catch crabs (legal is 5") off of the pier. A few crab traps and beach chairs are availible for your use.
